Mission Statement And Practice Goals
Mission Statement: The goal of our swim club is to help masters swimmers in a way that improves their skills as athletes, while promoting and encouraging their love of the sport. We hope to use swimming as a forum to help people achieve any goals they have from swimming faster in meets to achieving better fitness levels and learning to swim.
Practice Goals: A Manatee practice is not designed to grind out yardage, but more so to use a balance of teaching , drilling, and fast swimming to make sure the quality of the swimming, and the sport is maintained. There are times when we will not focus on how fast a swimmer is, but how that swimmer chooses to go fast. There are other times, however, when the competitive drive, and the willingness to test one’s skill against others will be encouraged, and swimmers will most definitely practice swimming fast. In the end, our goal is to design a well balanced program that will take the Manatee Swim Club to the next level
